Happy Children's Day!

Driving through the city this cool morning of 27th May, it was a relief to have highly reduced traffic, not much of early morning hustle and bustle, all thanks to the transient home arrest of our youngsters grounded to a whole day dedicated in their honor. Few hours down the line, I couldn't but wonder where the calmness and stillness that pervaded everywhere had disappeared to. The whole city is agog, every outdoor location seemed totally booked, malls had maddening crowd with loud blasting music all over. The day's drama is centered around celebrating children. The social media also isn't left out, filled with pictures, infographs depicting this unique group of being - for the many joy they bring to their world - parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and teachers. As they grow, their cues and hues bring laughter, their lyrics and vibes are another thing, you wonder where they get supply of words and intelligence from. Such joy is difficult to hide and stresslessly find expressions.

While the atmosphere seemed to be charged and filled only with joy of mothers, parents and teachers all over the world, I choose today to stand with the hopefuls whose dream "children's day" is yet to come; those whose desire for the fruit of the womb is highly activated and those who watch month after month for that one miracle. I rejoice with the hopeful mothers as your celebration comes soonest. My prayer is that your time comes very soon, your land will yield its fruits and your expectations shall not be cut short.

Happy Children's Day to all mothers and mothers-to-be.
